Why Should I Calibrate My Torque Wrench?

To keep your tool working accurately and reliably, calibrating your torque wrench is an important part of servicing your equipment. If a faulty torque wrench is a part of your operations, it can pose a threat to safety and the overall production flow of your processes. How Often Should I Get My Torque Equipment Calibrated?

You can choose to either calibrate your torque wrench each time it surpasses 5,000 cycles, or every 12 months, whichever comes first. GNW technicians can carry out the calibration either at our Southport-based calibration facility, or at your own premises on-site. You can either send your torque wrench to us using your own courier or we can arrange one on your behalf. In some circumstances, we can even have your torque tool back to you the same day.

Torque Wrench Calibration & Repair

GNW Instrumentation can test the tolerances of your torque wrench within a range of 1Ncm (or 0.01Nm) to 2,000Nm. Provided it falls within a 4-6% tolerance in accordance with ISO 6789, it will be certified as passed and a fully traceable test certificate will be issued. No adjustments or repairs would be carried out at this stage. A repair quote would need to be provided and accepted prior to any additional works being completed.
