Torque Wrench Calibration

5 Star Google Business Review Rating

GNW Instrumentation has been delivering first-class torque wrench calibration services to customers nationwide for more than 40 years. Our many years of experience, combined with some of the industry’s most highly-skilled technicians, ensures that every torque wrench calibration is performed to precise and exacting standards. As an ISO 9001 accredited company, we deliver fully traceable and cost-effective torque wrench calibrations.

Torque wrenches exert a twisting force on a threaded fastener to a specific tightness. A torque wrench calibration ensures that the correct force is applied when tightening nuts and bolts. With your torque wrench calibrated to within the appropriate tolerances, you can guarantee the accuracy and longevity of your torque tool. This provides valuable peace of mind that your connections are secure and that costly errors are avoided altogether.

Why Should I Calibrate My Torque Wrench?

Regular torque wrench calibrations are essential if you want your torque instruments to perform optimally over the long term. Failure to do so can harm the continuity of your operations, which can have a negative impact on both your productivity and your bottom line. Precise torque measurements give you the ability to tighten fasteners with the correct amount of tension. This enables you to avoid any costly mutual connection failures.

An excessive deviation from the specified tolerances for your torque wrench can lead to unreliable and vulnerable bolt connections. You can avoid this scenario altogether by outsourcing your torque wrench calibration to qualified torque calibration experts, like GNW Instrumentation. Torque wrench calibration needn’t be complicated or laborious. We can ensure your torque tools are precisely calibrated and returned to you in no time.

How Often Should I Get My Torque Equipment Calibrated?

A professional torque wrench calibration should be undertaken every 5,000 cycles or every 12 months – whichever comes first. Our skilled technicians can carry out your calibration in-house at our Southport-based calibration facility or on-site at your premises. You can either send your torque wrench to us using your own courier or we can arrange one on your behalf. In some circumstances, we can even have your torque tool back to you the same day.
