IN-HOUSE CALIBRATION EQUIPMENT

DRY BLOCK CALIBRATORS - TEMPERATURE BATHS

If you have industrial temperature sensors such as RTDs, thermocouples, thermistors, bi-metal thermometers or liquid-in-glass thermometers to calibrate, you need a reliable heat source to verify accuracy, and there is still nothing better for a quick test of industrial temperature sensor performance than a Dry Block Calibrator.

A dry-well calibrator is a great combination of accuracy, portability and price for industrial calibration applications. Our dry-wells produce calibration accuracies of better than ±0.5°C over a range of –25°C up to 650°C.

To select the appropriate dry-well for your industrial sensors you should consider:

Temperature Range
Accuracy and Stability
Well Flexibility
Portability
Sensor Immersion

GNW's range dry block calibrators combine laboratory quality performance with field instrumentation, and are ideal for any applications requiring a stable temperature to be maintained during temperature fluctuations.

Our Calibrators have the ability to maintain stability, with some of the fastest response times in the industry, saving valuable time during probe calibration.

Dry Temp Bath

The ingenious block construction, produces very rapid cooling and heating for swift change of application and increased flexibility and the dry temperature control system maintains a clean working environment, reducing the chance of contamination or sample dilution.

A dry block, without the vibration of refrigeration or the turbulence of a waterbath, is also ideal for all incubations where stable conditions are critical.

We can provide various models with different capacities: Please contact us with your specifications

COMPARATORS

The GNW series of pressure comparators are a powerful range of instruments providing optimum features for industrial users under the most severe conditions.

Ideally suited for use as in-field or lab applications our comparators are available in

pressure
vacuum
hydraulic.

Our fully portable comaparators are available with a carrying case that holds everything needed to take full advantage of the capabilities of the test set.

Enabling tests of up to 10,000 PSI  (700 bar), the pressure applicator ensures test pressure can be  achieved rapidly if desired.  Upon reaching the desired test pressure, by similarly turning the pressure release valve, pressures can be reduced.  The high quality precision pump gives the operator total control of the rate at which the tests are undertaken.

Maximum pressures are generated with effortless operation. The broad strong base does not require user to clamp or secure the base to the work-bench, even at 10,000 psig.

The sealed construction assures stability and prevents any leaks. and the priming system ensures air exhaustion is expidited from the pressure instrument connected to the pump, ensuring faster and more accurate performance.

We can also provide test gauges with an accuracy of ±0.25% F.S to form the complete calibration system.

Metric and Imperial models are available.

Each unit can be supplied with a calibration certificate after being calibrated against precision pressure equipment traceable to national standards

ISO SURFACE ROUGHNESS COMPARATOR

A precision Nickel Comparator Plate which conforms to International Standard ISO 8503 for grit and shotblast surface roughness comparison measurement

When steel has been blast cleaned, the surface consists of random irregularities with peaks and valleys that are not easily characterised. Experts have recommended that the profile should be identified as dimpled (shotblast) or angular (gritblast) and that they should be graded as Fine, Medium or Coarse with each grade being defined by limits specified in ISO 8503, these characteristics are considered to give sufficient distinguishing features for most painting requirements.

Easy to use, place the Comparator against an area of the test surface, compare in turn the four sectors of the Comparator against the test surface using the X7 magnifier, placed so that the test surface is viewed simultaneously with a segment of the Comparator, the nearest profile to the Comparator determines the grade.

The different grades are defined as follows. Fine grade profiles equal to segment 1 and up to but excluding segment 2, Medium grade profiles equal to segment 2 and up to but excluding segment 3 and Coarse grade profiles equal to segment 3 and up to but excluding segment 4.

Supplied in a Protective Wallet.

A pictorial reference of coating defects with a description of each defect and its probable causes together with prevention and repair recommendations.

Also illustrates various types of marine fouling with an appendix giving details of breakdown scales with a quick reference guide to the characteristics of certain types of paint and paint compatibility.

CAN DISTORTION TESTER, CAN END BUCKLE TESTER & DOME REVERSAL UNIT

GNW manufacture a number of test panels to suit the needs of various industries including caning, mining, aerospace and hydraulic

The units by GNW,. have been so designed to enable pressure tests of both beverage and process cans to be undertaken on various size can ends, allowing full visibility of the can end throughout the complete test.

The equipment has a fail safe facility which ensures that no pressure will be retained within the can under test if the cabinet lid is inadvertently opened while tests were proceeding.

Due to the micrometer flow regulator valve it is possible to regulate the rate of pressure increase into the can under test. Varying can test blocks can be manufactured and fitted as desired, thus enabling the testing of all different size cans by altering the can test blocks.

The design of the can test blocks enables the operator to fit cans into the test model within seconds, ensuring the minimum of time is required to run full tests on all types of cans.

Our range includes:-
The Model CT2 is fitted with only one can test block (For can top testing single block).
Model CT3 is fitted with two can test blocks (For can top testing double block).
Model CTL (Can lids only) .
Model CTB (Buckle end tests on necked or straight cans. Pneumatic or manual clamps).
Model EXT/P.T. (For external test on completed cans).
The can test blocks are interchangeable on all models.
The GNW CT2 Electronic Can Buckle Tester has the same features as the mechanical CT2 and CT3 model, except for the analogue readout
The CT2 Electronic model has a digital read out with an RS 232 output.
