CALIBRATION & CERTIFICATION |

To ensure that instrumentation performs to its original specification, it is important that it receives its regular calibration. Tolerances vary slightly over time and there are many reasons for this, and while it is possible to minimise the levels of drift, they cannot be completely eliminated.
Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the test equipment receives its calibration. When an item of test equipment is within its calibration period, it will be guaranteed to produce results that are within its stated specification.
Once the calibration period has been exceeded, then it is not possible to guarantee the results.

We always quote the customer the price first before we proceed with the repair. |
When the customer has returned the authorisation form with their agreement of the price and official order number, we will endeavour to return the instrument as soon as possible.
Customers’ should be aware of the time factor, which may take place when a repair is required. We try to maintain a quick turn-around but in some cases repairs do longer when there is more work required or we are sourcing rare or obsolete spares.

16th/17th EDITION & PART P TESTERS |
The 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2008) was published in January 2008, and comes into effect from the 1 July 2008.
From then on all commercial, domestic and industrial wiring installations must be designed, constructed, inspected, tested and certificated to meet the requirements of BS 7671:2008
Why do we need another Edition of the Wiring Regulations?
A combination of new technologies, products and continuing harmonization mean that the Wiring Regulations have to incorporate changes; and we can expect no let up in this progress as time goes by. |

| PAT TESTING |

Under
the Electricity at Work Regulations employers are required to maintain the portable
appliances in use on their premises.
The intention is to ensure a managed
system exists to prevent accidents arising from faulty appliances.
Gauges North West’s range of PAT testers
have been designed to carry out the required electrical tests required as outlined
by the EAWR 1989.
Being both cost effective and user friendly Gauges North West can provide
a PAT that will perform all the tests required for class I & II appliances. Capable of handling hundreds of appliance test results giveing uncompromising
