When manufacturing or designing temperature sensors - selecting the right cable is one of the most important details. GNW stock vast amounts of cable for both thermocouples and RTD's in many material types, conductor sizes and styles, below is some general information on the cables we stock.

Cable Insulation

Insulation Type Useable Temperature
PVC PVC -10 to 105 Celcius
Silicone -60 to 200 Celcius
FEP -75 to 200 Celcius
PFA -75 to 200 Celcius
PTFE -75 to 260 C
Fibreglass 0 to 300 Celcius
HT Fibreglass 0 to 700 Celcius

These insulation types can also have additional outer sheaths of insulation, stainless steel braid, copper braid or flexible conduit fitted to improve mechanical protection or service temperature.

Connectors

We stock thermocouple and copper connectors in both standard and miniature sizes these can be line plugs/sockets, panel sockets or panel assemblies.

We stock all of our fittings in brass and 316 stainless steel and other materials can be used. We manufacture fittings in all BSP, NPT and metric sizes.

We also stock adaptors, plugs, hygienic fittings and flanges to suit almost and process connection.
