THERMOCOUPLES
GNW thermocouples are manufactured in -house and are available in a wide variety of ranges and styles. They can be configured with a choice of standard features and options, to meet users' specific requirements, depending on applications: length, flexibility, vibration resistance, accuracy, and temperature range. Non-standard configurations can also be supplied, against special orders

Because every Thermocouple has limitations to which environment it can be exposed and what Range, our experienced Sales Team will be glad to advise as to which would be the best option for your needs.

Also available are a complete range of thermocouple probes and resistance thermocouple assemblies.

Specials can be produced to customer specification

Choosing the correct Material
GNW offer a wide variety of materials. However your choice of material depend on the application.
The more common materials are :-
Stainless Steel: A variety of sizes in varying grades. Maximum operating temperature 800 º C although when assembled, other factors may reduce this maximum.
27% Chrome Iron: Used in combustion chambers and flue gas applications up to 1100ºC

Inconel: Excellent mechanical properties and high resistance to oxidation up to 1100ºC
Refractory Material: (a) Silicon carbide : Normally used as an outer protecting sheath in double sheathed assemblies where severe conditions and rapid temperature changes occur. It is porous by it's excellent characteristics, coupled with its thick wall giving good mechanical strength make it ideal for use where high temperatures plus mechanical robustness etc. are required.
Mullite: Foe use up to 1600ºC It has good resistance to thermal shock and flux attack and is impervious to most atmospheres.
P.T.F.E Can be used either as a coating over stainless steel or as a solid pocket to offer resistance against acids alkalines and most other corrosive fluids at temperatures up to 250ºC.
