OVERFILL & BUND ALARMS

Gauges North West Ltd’s easy to install alarms are robust and economical and will prevent you from adding to an ever expanding problem of pollution from fuel and chemical spillage.

These units provide warning of tank overfill or breach in the bund layer of a tank, giving time for action to avoid potential pollution.

BUND ALARM
Should an amount of fluid get between the tank and the bund then this unit will emit a 90dB warning alarm. This unit can also be used as an underfill alarm.

A combination of the Overfill and Bund Is Available.

MULTILEVEL ALARM

This unit gives a constant indication of the fluid level in the tank.
The LED flashes when the fluid is down to approximately 10% of the tanks capacity.

A 90dB alarm provides warning of possible overflow when the level rises to a preset danger point.

PROBES
Probes can be ordered according to tank depth and can be supplied with cable as required.

TIGERLOOP ORIGINAL

The tigerloop which is fitted close to a pressure jet burner and separates air from heating oil doing away with the need for a return pipe to the tank.

The world’s leading automatic oil de-aerator The new and improved original, third generation automatic oil de-aerator. That has for over 30 years made oil heating installations more efficient, safe and environmentally friendly.

Air and dirt are the major causes of burner breakdowns and excessive fuel consumption. Oil releases large amounts of air when it is pumped from the tank to the oil burner. By acting as a self de-aerating storage tank, the Tigerloop eliminates these problems. This excellent solution enables a problem-free one pipe system, where only the amount of oil to be burned is drawn up from the tank.

TIGERLOOP COMBI

With combined oil filterThe new Tigerloop® Combi offers several advantages thanks to the integrated oil filter. It allows the possibility of choosing different oil filter inserts depending on the need.

The installation is done with fewer connections simplifying work and reducing the risk for leakage.

TIGERLOOP PLUS

With integrated spin-on paper filter, shut off valve and vacuum gauge. The new Tigerloop® Plus, automatic oilde-aerator, has been developed to meet the highest demands for cleaner air-free oil.

The smart, all-in-one design includes a vacuum gauge for full control and simple troubleshooting, a shut off valve for easy service and a spin-on paper filter for the toughest filtration needs.

This unit has an extremely large filtration area of 1850cm2 with a filtration grade of 20 microns.

FIREVALVES

Fire valves are needle valves with a spring loaded inner stem held open by a fusible plug, which melts in the event of fire making the valve close. Preventing fuel being fed into a fire originated elsewhere than in the heating appliance.

Fire valves are used on supply lines for heating-oil or kerosene burners to prevent oil or
kerosene from the storage tank or feeding a fire.

FREE FALL FIRE VALVES

Free Fall Fire Valves are suitable for installation in either horizontal or vertical pipework, and are designed to provide a positive, 100% shutoff when used as a fuel isolating valve, or opening, when used as a fuel dump valve.

A standard Free Fall Valve assembly comprises of a Valve, lever and weight, together with a fitting kit.

All standard valves are manufactured in cast iron to ASTMA126Gr B and all valves are suitable for use with fuel oils and gases at pressures upto 14bar. Screw connection valves have BSP threads whilst flanged valves have either BS4504PN16 flange drillings or to ANSI125

Valves available with carbonor stainless steel body and plug materials. Free Fall Valves may be actuated mechanically or electronically

MANUAL QUICK RELEASE MECHANISM

The manual quick release mechanism is designed to provide firevalve closure by releasing the stainless steel tension cable, which holds the firevalve in the open position. By pressing the red push button, the spindle and pulley wheel assembly is released which allows the firevalve to close. The is constructed using a high impact ABS enclosure, with brass internal components to prevent seizure and a 40mm diameter brass pulley

EMAG RELEASE MECHANISM

These units are designed to provide an instantaneous release of a firevalve weight upon loss of electrical power. The range covers three voltages, 24Vdc, 110Vac and 230 Vac, each has a minimum holding force of 30Kg and are therefore suitable for Free Fall FireValve sizes upto 200mm bore. Emag² release mechanisms are also available with volt free contacts, rated 5amps 230Vac. Both the Emag and Emag² release mechanisms are designed for ease of installation, and are ideal for mounting using 41x41mm steel channel.

VENTACAP

The ventacap provides weather proofing feature that when in place will afford the correct volume for venting .

A grill prevents the ingress of leaves and insects etc without affecting the venting proves

VENT COVER

Designed to push and lock on to nipple or bend.

Doing the job its name suggests.

SCREWED FILLER CAP AND CHAIN

This unit was designed with the same function as the metal caps which are widely used on oil tank fill pipes, but manufactured from plastic making them more economical than the metal caps.

The cap is supplied with a chain and fixing clip.

SLUDGE VALVE

A robust purpose made unit for fitting to a tank socket.
It features a non- removable valve to facilitate draining sludge without the danger of losing the core.
SIGHT GAUGES

These gauges give a clear reading on the level of the contents of a tank. They have unbreakable sight tubes and can be supplied in lengths to suit any depth tank.

A variety of models of sight gauges are available.

The Tankmaster has been designed to comply with BS799 Pt 2, this unit has been developed for fitting to steel or plastic oil heating tanks, it has four components that are usually fitted separately, i.e. gate valve, level gauge, filter and fire valve are incorporated in one unit.
