Types of Recorders available

Flatbed Recorders are designed for easy transportability. Use them on the benchtop to perform short-term monitoring. These recorders normally record less than five channels at a time and do not have spools or trays to collect recorded paper.

Vertical Recorders feature multiple recording channels, wall-mount capabilities, and paper spools. Vertical recorders are ideal for long-term monitoring in industrial settings.

Circular Recorders allow you to record data on a single sheet of chart paper. Recorders typically record for a specific amount of time such as one hour, 24 hours, one day, or seven days.

Paperless Recorders represent the latest in data recording technology. View, analyze, and manipulate graphs and other representations of your data as it is being recorded. Paper records are replaced by onscreen trending and data is stored electronically.

Dataloggers are a paperless alternative to chart recorders with better resolution and accuracy. They're ideal for logging data in remote locations for extended periods of time. Download stored data to a PC for easy analysis.

CHART RECORDERS

A chart recorder is an electro-mechanical device that records an electrical or mechanical input trend onto a piece of paper (the chart).

Chart recorders may record several inputs using different color pens and may record onto strip charts or circular charts.

Chart recorders may be entirely mechanical with clockwork mechanisms or electro-mechanical with an electrical clockwork mechanism for driving the chart (with mechanical or pressure inputs) or entirely electronic with no mechanical components at all (a virtual chart recorder).

They are built in three primary formats.

Circular
Roll
Strip

STRIP/ROLL CHART RECORDERS

Gauges North West can supply an extensive family of strip/roll chart recorders, ranging from one input preconfigured units with an analog scale display, to recorders handling over ninety inputs with a range of advanced features. The recorders are offered in varous chart widths, with both continuous pen and multipoint printer versions being available.

Wide choice of features and prices
Clear data handling with high visibility diplays
Choice of paper and digital storage
Plain English user interface
Real time annotation
Universal inputs
PC configuration
Sheet steel case

CIRCULAR CHART RECORDERS

Circular Chart Recorders measure and display various process variables and have a variety of programmable inputs.

Each channel is compatible with all industry-standard sensors and signals, including thermocouple types J, K, T, E, N, R, S, and B; Pt100 platinum RTDs; and 4 to 20 mA current loops.

Low and high measurement ranges are provided for each input type.
Multi-input versions are available.
Single or multi-pen versions avialable

Housed in a strong moulded case that can be panel or surface mounted. A gasket-lockable door protects internal components from harsh industrial environments and offers protection rated to IP55

A tough acrylic window lets the user view the chart trace, digital channel readings, and alarm status with the recorder's door closed.

PAPERLESS RECORDERS

The paperless recorders are the replacement for traditional paper chart recorders.

They offer a real-time display of data on LCD display and data storage on flash memory.

Gauges North West Ltd supply a range of advanced paperless recorder systems. Offering performance and software capability to meet the most sophisticated operational requirements.

Available with various universal analog inputs for direct current and voltage signals, thermocouples and resistance thermometers.

Sensor type and measurement range are freely configurable. Numerous relays can be provided to output alarm information.

Advantages of paperless recording are:-

no paper,
pens
mess or maintenance.
A twelve month payback on pen recorder replacements.
Internal Data storage
User customised application displays.
Plus many more.

The paperless recorders can be applied to

Chemical processing
Petroleum processing
Metal processing
Power generations
Production of fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals
Food and beverage processing
Environmental monitoring
